Update 2023-08-02
There has come some more info now. Check out Garmin's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/garmin/
There is a story where you cast your vote for which badge that will win.. Link to the Story
Exactly what that means is a bit unclear. Will only one of the listed badges go live? Maybe some of the other badges will come later on... Only time will tell.

We will very soon see a bunch of new badges that I just found out about. No idea when they will go public. Note that these badges got no time limit.
Some of them will be really really hard. Swim streak will probably be the toughest for me. In general I think that the streak badges are the hardest since you can't miss a single day and life often makes you do that.

  1. Some interesting ones here. I like badges that make you go beyond what you would normally be doing - and some of these definitely achieve that - as opposed to the expeditions which eventually just happen over time due to normal activities! But I agree some are going to be very difficult to achieve. I wish my sleep was even close to 100!!

  2. Are these going to be repeatable ?

  3. wow. I don't think i'll ever get the sleep 100 one! Mainly as I have my doubts on the accuracy of my watch recording my sleep stages. I'm excited to see the new ones like picleball, I have no idea what pickleball is but excited to find out.

    1. Looking into my historical data, I've got multiple 96, 97, 98, but never single time 99 or 100. I would even doubt that watch produces such values!

      sleep_score|score_count|
      -----------+-----------+
      98.0| 12|
      97.0| 49|
      96.0| 25|
      95.0| 32|
      94.0| 32|
      93.0| 78|
      92.0| 51|
      91.0| 91|

  5. Hi Andy, by any chance do you know if the Daily Suggested Workouts are available somewhere in the Connect App? sometimes I would to see them in the app or web page to consider... thanks!

    1. I think it is only available on the watch. It is device based so that is probably the reason.

    1. I've heard that and saw an image with the info in a Facebook group but I can't find it in Garmin's Instagram.

    2. It was just in their stories as opposed to a post

  8. Asking the users to cast their votes on Instagram was a bad idea in my opinion. I don't use Instagram and I don't intend to in the future.
I actually missed out on voting this.

    1. Would it have been better if Garmin just decided so no one would have had anything to say?
We will likely see all badges in the future.
If you really wanted to vote you could've created an account and then removed it.

    2. Never really got to know that the posts would be posted on Instagram. Anyway, I should keep track of them.

    3. I voted once when I heard about them, but didn't bother much.
To find out about these things you need to already be using Instagram, Facebook etc. and follow the right accounts and be in the right groups. It is easy to miss it.
