  1. Has anyone tried to use the Tacx app as a virtual ride to get Garmin Gravel Worlds, or other location-dependent badge?

    1. That should work. You will likely have to change the type from indoor or virtual to gravel.

    2. Unfortunately looks like, import GPX route is possible only for premium users, which cost 9.99/month.

    3. Fwiw, I have tried using fit file repair tool to load the route of a location dependant onto an activity but it has not worked, so far. I will try again for the Garmin Ride Out in the New Forest later this month.

    5. I have finally been successful in getting a location dependant badge. This is what worked for me for the Garmin Ride Out 2021 badge. I used fit file repair tool, importing a .fit file of a ride that I did that was longer than the badge requirement (importing shorter rides did not work and neither did a tcx file). In FFRT I changed the timestamps and then imported a gpx file of the route from the event website. Exported and imported the new file and the badge appeared.

    6. I've managed to do it with Fit File Repair Tool and converting a route to an activity. I haven't tried what you did there. I will test it later on.

  2. I've noticed this badge that I can't find in your descriptions.

    1. It isn't repeatable so you can only get it once. Make sure you change country to Singapore and check that you see the badge as available.
I've seen people get it this year so it is working.

  4. Lots of cycling challenges in September. ;) After my ride tomorrow, I will be trying to get the Garmin Ride Out 2022 using FFRTs and will report back.

  5. This morning I did a 52 mile ride and as before added the GRO gpx file (no need to change timestamps as the event is today). Using FFRT, select add position data from gpx file in the menu, export the new file, import into Connect, and the GRO 2022 badge was awarded.

  6. Ahhhh no I wanted to do the 40k cycling and I pressed a wrong button at the worst possible time, at 39.9k!! It ended my activity. I did start another activity for the remainder of my bike ride, but did not get the badge. Do you have any tips maybe to get my 40k badge?
And, love this site! I check it every month.

    1. Edit the distance to 40 km and if you want the correct total distance remove 0.1 km from the next activity.

    2. Wooha that worked! Thanks so much for your quick help!
