September 2022 - 45 hours of cycling in two months

September challenges are now available. Join them in Garmin Connect.

New in this month: 45 hours of biking in two months.

There will be lots and lots of biking to get all these badges, but hopefully they will work pretty good together. It is pretty hard to bike for 45 hours without getting a lot of distance and ascent. Divide 45 hours over the two months and you will get 22.5 hours per month. To get 400 km distance you just need to bike in 18 km/h which most people can do.

  1. Is it known how much points will be this 45hour of cycling? I hope 8. :)

    1. I would be surprised if it was not 2 points, a candidate for 4 points if the challenge was over one month.

    2. I'd put money on it being 2 points, the stage 1, 2 & 3 challenges were all 2 and covered 3 months

    3. A surprise, but nice too see Ride 45 get 4 points, but then sometimes new challenge badges get double points the first time they appear.

  2. Is this only for cycling? What's about indoor?

    1. Which is only for cycling? Indoor cycling counts as cycling.

  3. Andy, should you not state mid-autumn festival 2022, as there is a new badge for it this year and some already have the old badge ?

    1. Is is public yet? I can't see the new badge. I see it in the descriptions but no sign of it yet. Garmin usually removes the old badge when they add a new one and the old one is still active.
I've added it to the list.

    2. No, not visible yet, just making sure you did not miss it as Garmin added the description a couple of months ago.

  4. question
    for the:
Garmin Asia Run Series 2022 – Malaysia 5K - Run the Garmin Run Asia Series 2022 - Malaysia and record 5km on 11 September 2022
can we earn it with a walking activity? is it just running?

    1. It clearly says run in the description and Garmin is usually very picky. Note that you must be in Malaysia to get the badges. It will not work by just changing the country setting.

  5. Note that you must run in Malaysia to get the Garmin Asia run badges. Changing the location setting is not enough.

  6. I still see my UAFM badge from 2019 as awarded in Connect.

  7. Very strange, after earning another badge today, my UAFM badge reappears. I guess a Connect glitch somewhere.
