Garmin Badge Database 2.0 - Now Live at garminbadges.com

Garmin Badge Database is officially live at garminbadges.com. The site has been completely rebuilt with a stack of new features. Here's just some of what's new.

Badge details popup

Clicking any badge now opens a quick-view overlay showing the badge image, description, dates, target value, and how many people have earned it - without leaving the page. Right-click or Ctrl+click still opens the full detail page.

Challenge tracking - Completely redesigned

The challenges page has been rebuilt from scratch. Challenges are grouped by month, sortable by every column, and a new Done by column calculates when you'll finish at your current daily pace. There's also a compact view that fits far more challenges on screen at once with all the same information.

Completed challenges

A new section at in the challenges page shows badges you completed this month, with earned date, target, and points.

Hide badges you don't care about

Not every badge is for everyone. You can now hide individual badges from your public profile, keeping your Available list focused on what you actually want to earn. Open any profile in edit mode and toggle visibility badge by badge. Hidden badges are only hidden from your public view; you can always unhide them again.

Hide users from leaderboards

You can now hide specific users from your own leaderboard view and badge earner lists. Find someone on the leaderboard and click the eye icon, or use the Hide button on their profile. You can manage hidden users from your Dashboard.

Profile page improvements

The profile page has new filters for finding badges, a faster badge popup on click, and a cleaner header with compact action buttons.

Dark mode, density & mobile

The site now has a proper dark mode, a density setting (Default / Compact / Dense) for tighter layouts on any screen size, and full mobile support throughout.

Chrome extension updates

The Chrome extension now automatically finds an open Garmin Connect tab when you click Sync, no need to switch tabs first. It also tracks virtual challenges and available badges with progress targets.

Head to garminbadges.com to check it out. If you haven't synced yet, grab the script or Chrome extension from the sync data page.

Comments

  1. I've sent the updated Chrome Extension to Chrome Web Store and are waiting for it to be approved.
