  1. Andy, in the "my badges" page, when we click on a badge (and we see the description and related badges in the popup), can you also display the last time the badge was earned (badgeEarnedDate) and how many times I have it?

    1. Those are good suggestions. It would also be nice to see the progress for the badges that got that. Yeah, pretty much show everything that is displayed for the badges in Garmin Connect.

  2. I can no longer change the country in my GARMIN.COM profile as I previously did to retrieve badges from other countries.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. That is correct. Garmin has removed that possibility. To change country you have to contact Garmin Support, so it isn't anything you will do to get badges.

      Delete
    2. So that means we can say goodbye to collecting badges from countries other than our own... we can no longer "surf" from country to country to collect as many badges as possible.

      Delete
    3. except via Garmin Connect+... which is a good way to force some members to subscribe to the paid option.

    4. I am "stuck" in Taiwan. Not the worst place, as the far east countries have the most country specific badges :)

    5. I have a question for those of you who know more than me: why doesn't my request reach them if I click the "connect" button on a profile picture? Thanks.

      Delete
    6. How do you know? Are you standing next to your friend? Or they are just not responding? Most people don't know where to approve. I think this is mostly because of a bad user interface by Garmin

      Delete
    7. Your observation is correct, but I tried with friends. I disconnected from them and tried to reconnect. My request never arrived. They invited me to reconnect.

  3. Does anyone else experience problems with there Garmin detecting there swim laps since the update of the 12th of February (or around that time). Since the update my Venu 4 barely counts laps . So it is impossible to get the swim badges now.

    1. There seems to be some issue with the swim activity on Venu 4: https://forums.garmin.com/sports-fitness/healthandwellness/f/venu-4-series

    2. Thank you for your message. It seems like a lot of people are having this problem. I hope Garmin will fix this soon.

  4. Instead of the "International Women's Day 2026" there's the "Noble Warrior Hero" badge in the calendar.

    1. They are on the same day. International Women's Day 2026 hasn't been added by Garmin yet.
I forgot about Noble Warrior Hero. It is an old badge that comes every year.

    1. Will you ask Garmin to change your location to Thailand? :)

    2. Hi all! Hmm this is by far not fair. People cannot get those badges, even with recording the specific activities. However there are lots of special things to earn. What kind of morbid joke is this to limit to specific countries? Are other people below them or less as human beings? No wonder where this world is heading nowadays...

      Delete
    3. There has always been badges restricted to certain countries. First was in 2019.
You can get most of them with Connect+ and global badges.

    4. Thanks for the reply, I am aware of that. But unfortunately cannot afford to pay 90 euros for it. Also how lucky are those from the states, paying much less around 70 usd.

      Delete
    5. Totally agree. 90€ is too much. Badges programme is lossing interest to me. Now is a VIP club. You pay more, you get more badges. It is not related to train more anymore. Not challenging me, just my wallet.

    6. Unfortunately true, after a while it's gonna be impossible to keep up with my 'premium' contacts and that is the end of the healthy and enjoyable competition. So sad. Why everything has to be ruined?

      Delete
    7. Many badges are only available to those with certain (mpre expensive) watches. The Tacx badges are only available to those who pay a Tacx subscription. Connect+ has only shifted the goalposts a little.

  6. Has anyone else noticed a change in the 30 day in row badges? In the past if I missed a day I could do an extra walk and edit the date to fill the gap. This doesn't seem to work now - I was getting the walk 30 badge around 8th of each month, but for Feb it was not awarded until 23rd Feb. Or is it that since the badge was already awarded 23 Feb and extra activity added for mid January after this the award date cant change, I hope that makes sense!

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Try to move the activity from 23rd Feb to January (wherever it was missing)

    2. Thanks - tried that but seems stuck!

  7. Hi. I recently came across your garminbadges.com site, and I must say it’s very impressive. Thanks again and keep up the great work! Robert

  8. It looks like Light up the Night 2026 badge is not applicable to India region. I recorded 3 activities today but didn't get the badge.

    1. Since we no longer can switch countries it is hard to test all valid countries. Double check that you got India set as country in your account: http://garmin.com/account

      Delete
    2. It's not because of that. This year it's not available in India. On the other hand it is available in Hong Kong (not on your list)

      Delete
    3. I've updated the countries. How do you know which countries it is available in?

      Delete
    4. I do what you do: have created different accounts for each country :) I have a modified version of your python script, and it downloads the badges from these countries: ["il","hk", "tw", "th", "cn", "jp", "sg", "my", "kr", "ph", "gb", "nl", "us", "id", "in", "vn"]. Your current list matches what I found. Of course there might be other countries I haven't tried. Here's the script: https://gist.github.com/flocsy/b31edc6a742be9ba4a1b327da21ccd11

  13. I read that some people were already watching the April challenges. Is there a 15km race? Thanks.

    1. I haven't seen anything about them yet. Sometimes this German Garmin site publishes the challenges very very early: https://de.beatyesterday.org/active/garmin-produkte-und-features/garmin-badges/
      But nothing there yet.
