do you think we'll have leap year bade again this year?
ReplyDeleteI don't think so, but we never know what Garmin adds.
DeleteI don't see Active February available for me.
ReplyDeleteI don't see it either. Garmin forgot about that one 🤔
DeleteLikely the Shokz took its place, since it's similar.
DeleteYes thought that too but it's listed above so initially thought others were seeing it!
DeleteGerman Garmin page had announced this badge though.
DeleteAny words of the chinese new year badge?
ReplyDeleteNothing yet.
DeleteIt is coming. My post is updated with the new badges.
DeleteValentines Day, Chinese NYE and NYD are now listed.
ReplyDeleteGreat! Thank you!
DeleteCan we already subscribe for the Shockz challenge? Can't see it even with changing the country to France...
ReplyDeleteYes. You can join it now. I haven't tested all those countries. Maybe Garmin forgot to add some of them. I'm "in" Japan so I see it. I switched to Japan to also get Light Up the Night.
DeleteThanks Andy, this did the trick. I think you can remove France from the list.
DeleteI tested with France and can see the Shokz challenge. What I do when I test is that I first switch to a country not on the list like Sweden. Check that I can't see the badge. Then I switch to the country to be tested and check again.
DeleteI've verified that it works in US, UK, France, Japan, Korea, Germany, Australia.
Hello,
DeleteIs it possible to change countries to earn badges in other countries?
How can I change it?
Thanks
You change country here: https://www.garmin.com/account/profile
Deletebut... GPS does not detect your country?
DeleteFor these type of badges you only need to change the country in the settings. You will get the badge in any country.
DeleteThere are race badges that are for a particular race that will use the gps to check that you've participated in the correct race. Then you don't need to change the country setting.
So, I've changed my country to Japan. Joined the Shokz challenge. I then did an activity (cycling) over 3 hours long. But my Shokz challenge still displays 0/10. Andy, or anyone, any ideas?
DeleteDid you log the ride with a Garmin device? That is a requirement.
DeleteIn the past I had similar problem once. I think it's some king of syncronisation problem between Garmin servers. I had to change between different countries 3-4 times (and sync Garmin Connect every time after the change) until finally it worked. You don't need to worry about your activity being "wasted", you can change the country, sync GCM, then edit the activity (like change it's name sligthly), and save it, and then sync again in GCM
DeleteYes, I'm recording my activities either with FR945 or Edge 840. I'll see what happens after my next activity, then try changing coutries and edit the activities... I think I know the process, I just haven't had it happen like this before.
DeleteFrance is on the list
ReplyDeleteIs it possible that at some point the country was removed from the calendar? I mean I think the countries a badge is available in was once displayed in the calendar, which is very useful, 'cause we can see to which country to change our location on a specific day.
ReplyDeleteThe badges and challenges that got a country requirement will have the country in the calendar event. Is it something else you want to see?
DeleteIt doesn't display it for the 24th Feb Light up the night badge, that according to this page is only available in certain countries
DeleteI understand. That was a miss from my side. They are added now.
Deleteanyone know how to add a jumping activity as its not available on my Forerunner 55 ?
ReplyDeleteLog it as Cardio and change the type to Jump rope in Garmin Connect.
Deletei tried that thanks. i think the problem is that none of the jumping badges are available for some reason!
DeleteCheck that you see the badges before you try to get them. They will show as available if you can get them.
DeleteI publish a lot of stuff before they are available.
I have done it, and no badges.
DeleteThey are not added yet.
DeleteJust out of curiosity, what's with 89K badge image at the top of the post?
ReplyDeleteThat is "The Tremola". It is the latest Tacx challenge.
Deletei don't see skipping (jump rope) in the available activities list on my watch. do we need to install it as a third party element from garmin connect? thanks for providing this service; very helpful.
ReplyDeleteYou can log it as Cardio and change to Jump Rope in Connect. There might be an app in Connect IQ that can do it. Or it will likely come.
DeleteIt was added in the last Fenix 7 beta.
Deletehave the jumping badges been added yet or is this just predicted as I can't find them on the app.
ReplyDeleteThey are not added yet. You can always go to the main site garminbadges.com and check for all badges added.
DeleteHi, seit 2 Tagen sehe ich nach erfolgter Aktualisierung den Sleepscore nicht. Weder übers Handy noch über den Computer. Kann mir biie jemand helfen? Ich habe eine Fenix7 Solar.
ReplyDeleteDo you see sleep on the watch? If not, do you see HR during sleep? Make sure battery saver isn't turned on during sleep or that it doesn't stop HR.
ReplyDeleteRestart watch. Update with Garmin Express on a computer.
DeleteOk mach ich, danke
ReplyDeleteActive February doesn't appear for me
ReplyDeleteIt isn't showing for anyone. Some claims that the Shokz challenge replaced it, but it is a bad replacement since it isn't available for everyone.
DeleteI will post an update about it soon.
tks
DeleteMarch is up, and Feb 29th badge added.
ReplyDeleteWhere do you see them?
DeleteI don't see them anywhere.
DeleteThey were there, now they have gone. A leap year badge, 29 minute activity on Feb 29th, usual stuff for March plus a Komoot promo, I think it was 4 outdoor cycle rides for a 3 month membership. I only did a quick scan as I wait for Andy's summary here.
DeleteOk. Maybe they saw an error and pulled it back quickly. They will be here soon.
